I’m Dominique, the Pilates-based wellness coach who wants to support you in enjoying your life with the body you have. I love sharing the magic of movement to help you feel your best, reduce your pain & stress levels, and develop a daily movement routine you LOVE.

I created this membership because these were the resources and the tools I needed when I was diagnosed with a neurological disorder that resulted in needing 24/7 care in 2016. Through a lot of trial, error, and symptom flare-ups I figured out that daily movement, stress management, and following a healthy lifestyle were what would help me get my life back. 

As I was recovering, I became a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher because Pilates was helping me feel at home in my body again and I could no longer dance ballet professionally. Pilates became my career as I taught group classes, private 1:1 sessions, and worked for a Pilates teacher training company. I knew that nobody else was going to put in the work to help me recover so I chose continuing education courses to expand my knowledge so that I could help myself and my clients heal.

With each course, I’d apply what I learned to my own life. The tiniest of details sometimes made the biggest difference to my brain and therefore the quality of my life. I was doing so much just to manage my neurological disorder- it was exhausting so I created rituals and routines that incorporated what I was learning. I enjoyed them so much that I finally stayed consistent enough for those 1% improvements to add up. I went from struggling to get through each day to genuinely enjoying my day to day life.

During this time, I started coaching my clients in my signature methods. Their results were astounding: decade-long neck issues disappeared, sleep improved, and life long panic attacks subsided. Many of my clients have come to me with chronic pain that doctors and physical therapists weren’t helping with and through our work together they have been able to return to the activities they love (surfing, hiking, enjoying vacation, & more)- pain free!

My life mission revealed itself to me: to help busy people move more and enjoy life with the body they have. I love working with clients 1:1 but the people who really needed my services weren’t able to access it. My private availability quickly filled up and busy people have limited time. 

In 2020 I knew I wanted to expand my impact and created my Refinement On-Demand Membership. Over the years, I’ve kept refining it and it’s helped people all over the world exercise daily and enjoy their lives with the bodies they have. I am thrilled that so many people have benefited from it!

FAQs

  • Yes! Many on-demand members do not have previous Pilates experience prior to starting. I recommend starting with the “Introduction to Pilates Mat” mini course and Refine [movement] classes. This will help you to learn how to do each exercise and you’ll find that you’re feeling comfortable with on-demand classes in very little time at all!

  • No, just come as you are. Some classes use small props such as a small ball, hand weights, band, or roller but none are required. Many classes do not use any equipment and modifications are provided so you can do these classes from literally anywhere!
